Using Ordeo

Buy ORDEO straight into an encrypted note

The app buys ORDEO with your ETH on the live Pons venue and, within that one transaction, shields all of it into a single new note.

What you need

  • A connected wallet with ETH on Robinhood Chain, for the amount you want to spend plus gas.
  • Your notes opened with your signature (see Get started).

Steps

  1. 01

    Open the app

Go to /app and choose buy.

  2. 02

    Enter the ETH amount

The app quotes how much ORDEO you should receive and sets a minimum output below that quote.

  3. 03

    Confirm in your wallet

OrdeoTradeDesk buys ORDEO where it currently trades (the bonding curve on Pons until graduation, then the Pons-hooked Uniswap v4 pool) and shields the whole amount into one note for your keys. Any ETH it could not spend is refunded.

  4. 04

    Check your balance

The new note appears in your balance once the transaction confirms.

What the chain shows

Because a buy is sent from your wallet, it is public: anyone can see your address, how much ETH went in, how much ORDEO came out, and that it was placed in a new note. What happens to that note afterwards is not visible. To make the next step harder to link to the buy, wait a while and do not move the same amount that you bought. See Staying private.

Fees on a buy

The trade pays the Pons fee like any trade on its curve or pool, and the creator share of it goes toward holder yield. The pool’s shield fee then applies to the ORDEO going into the note. You pay gas in ETH. See Fees.

What can go wrong

  • Price moved. If you would get less than the minimum, the buy reverts; your ETH stays with you, less the gas.
  • Launch graduating. While the curve is full and the pool is not open yet, buys revert. Try again a little later.
  • Token not launched. Before launch, buying is practice only.
Until the contracts are deployed, the app runs in practice mode: each action is a signed message, no transaction is sent and balances are practice balances. The same screens go live once the contracts are deployed.
